MANAGER, INTERNAL AUDIT
(Singapore)
Responsibilities:
As the Manager, Internal Audit – Corporate Inquiries, reporting to the Director, Internal Audit – Corporate Inquiries, this person will conduct or lead investigations of reported allegations of fraud, illegal acts, policy violations and/or violations of the Company’s Code of Business Conduct. Key responsibilities include monitoring Flowserve’s ethics hotline, conducting investigations, documenting procedures conducted as part of investigations, and preparing reports on the results of investigations. This position will also conduct financial and operational audit procedures as needed.
- Conduct fraud and ethics inquiries and investigations
- Oversee and manage the tracking and monitoring process of Flowserve's hotline complaints
- Work cross departmentally with Internal Audit, Human Resources and Legal to discuss Flowserve’s hotline complaints
- Act as a liaison between corporate and the ethics and compliance department to distribute investigations, monitor responses and initiate follow up as necessary
- Attend monthly meetings with the Chief Compliance Officer, Senior Legal Attorney and Senior Audit Manager to formulate plans and evaluate responses
- Manage various monitoring and tracking systems; utilizing excel and EthicsPoint
- Track, follow up and provide closure on hotline complaints
- Open fraud cases as necessary; ensuring case files are accurate and complete with all appropriate dispositions and detailed notes in Auto Audit, Flowserve’s case management system
- Prepare and maintain reports, analyze reports, formulate investigative plans and execute those plans.
- Perform audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and procedures
- Conduct interviews, review documents, develop and administer surveys, compose summary memos, and prepare working papers
- Identify, develop, and document audit issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed
- Communicate or assist in communicating the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to management and the Board of Directors
- Pursue professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and shares information gained with co-workers
- Represent Internal Audit on organizational project teams, at management meetings and with external organizations
- Provide or assist in providing training, coaching and guidance to Internal Audit staff in conducting audits and other audit-related issues
- Perform related work as assigned by audit management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University
- Certification as a CFE, CIA, or CPA preferred
- At least five total years of professional experience, including at least two years of experience in conducting fraud and ethics investigations and at least two years of internal or external auditing experience, and at least two years of supervisory or project management experience
- Excellent PC skills, including a high-level knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes and Auto Audit)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently in changing environments
- Experience with various investigatory, audit and interviewing techniques
- Able to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage
- Willing to travel regionally as estimated travel is 35% – 50%
